Explore the famous Samaria Gorge, Europe’s longest gorge. Keep an eye out for Bearded Vultures as you cross trickling streams and pass through forests of fragrant pines. If you have not already put on your helmet, you are now approaching the narrowest section where rockfalls can occur at any time. Although the risk is small, we strongly advise you wear the provided helmet. Reach the ‘Iron Gates,’ the narrowest point of the gorge where the cliffs on either side rise 600m high. Afterwards, head back down the gorge to return to Agia Roumeli.
