What our travellers say

A thoroughly enjoyable holiday with an excellent guide.

Martin Pallett

I was somewhat cautious about this trip, but Headwater was excellent in every way previously had an awful trip with Exodus, essentially since the local agent was unhelpful, and frankly dishonest.

David Hutchings

A well organised and interesting holiday with some challenging walks, spectacular scenery and an excellent guide.

Harry Tabiner

Ease of arranging holiday. Good communication throughout, including when return flight had to be rescheduled when we were able to arrange an additional excursion

Mr Walsh

Interesting holidays. Our sort of activity. Attention to detail. Most accommodation very good.
We recommended Headwaters to a couple that we met in Lisbon yesterday. Not standard package hols

Dr Adams

Our holiday was very well planned, our guide was excellent, everything went fluently.

A Valued Customer

We had – and are still having a superb time on Cape Verde. Our hiking tour was spectacular and exceeded our expectations. Not just because Santo Antao is remarkable but because we had an amazing guide, Txika who dealt with our every need.

Dr Maguire

The walking trip was excellent Santo Antao is a brilliant place to go walking, a perfect location. Food in Cabo Verde is excellent, they produce every kind of fruit and vegetable you can think of and fresh fish is always on the menu. We loved the accommodation as well, especially Casa Baobab in Tafarel. Our guide Eric was excellent, he knew a great deal about Santo Antao and was really knowledgeable about the flora and fauna, and the food production. He also introduced us to lots of local music, which we really enjoyed. IIha do Sal however, is a rather dull tourist destination, is has no worthwhile tourist attractions other than a magnificent beach at Santa Maria. We think people on a walking holiday would rather spend some more time in Mindelo on Sao Vicente, which looked really interesting and had a lot of good restaurants.

Mr Johnstone

Great guide, location, booking experience.

Mr Hughes

Trip exceeded expectations.
