The Giulietta e Romeo hotel, named after the town’s most famous lovers, lies in a quiet side street just yards from the Arena. The hotel is fairly modern in style and very comfortable. There is a large lobby area, which leads onto the breakfast room, which is decorated in white with subtle lighting and art deco friezes on the windows.

The rooms are all carpeted and traditionally decorated in blue and red decor with cherry wood furniture. They are all en-suite and have double-glazing so there is little noise from the street. A couple of rooms even have the famous Juliet style balcony if you fancy a re-inaction!

Parents of under 10 year olds should be aware that some rooms at the Hotel Giulietta e Romeo have a balcony with a step up.

The 63 en suite rooms are immaculately furnished and are fully worthy of the four-star rating.

It is possible to reserve a non-smoking room (please contact us and we will request this for you).

What our travellers say

The start was a bit rocky with no personal welcome from Fun Active and we thought the initial bikes offered were poor but we did get them changed to better KTM bikes as offered in the Headwater brochure. Other than this we really enjoyed our trip which was essentially a great route.

SYMES-THOMPSON

As always the holiday was memorable. It was our first use of ebikes and we are delighted. It will help us do future trips where hills or distances might have been off putting to the 70+ customers!

Christopher Haines

All of our Headwater and Exodus holidays have been very good. This was definitely the best cycling holiday that we have had, with the extra two nights in Venice at the end making it one of our best holidays of any sort.

Emlyn Jones

The Dolomites are stunning. The routes on the first 3 days were fantastic, the last two days were a bit residential/industrial. However, despite the weather and Funactive we had a great time! We’ve visited some wonderful places, seen some beautiful sights and have made some happy memories.

Sarah Cullen

A really great trip- it was both a holiday and an adventure. Cycling allowed us an insight into local life that we would not have had on a different holiday. The contrast between the Dolomites and Venice was huge and every day the scenery was different. Some of the sights were truly breathtaking. The cycling was very enjoyable and we enjoyed the cameraderie with others on the trip when our paths crossed. We can’t wait to go an another trip like this.

Joanna Lockhart

This is great holiday as the scenery, food and culture change as you descend from the dolomites, through to Venice. The second day of cycling was tough not only because it was long but the second half of the days cycling path was a lot of rutted gravel which we found not an easy surface to descend on. We had a great sense of achievement at the end of the holiday. The scenery and villages were stunning and we ate so well throughout the trip. The towns we stayed in overnight had v good restaurants to choose and book. We added a day in Verona to start , going to the opera in the arena and then a couple of days in Venice after cycling which complemented the trip.

Caroline Woodall

Arrangements for the holiday went smoothly, for the most part. Hotels were all very acceptable with one or two stand-outs worthy of higher praise

Mr Durrant

You kept us up to date with all the arrangement’s regarding payment and cycling note’s.

Mr Higgins

Very Well organised, great route, hotels mainly good, bikes fine.
