Trip details

Stretching across 65 miles of coastline and bordering the more widely recognized Amalfi Coast, the stunning Cilento National Park – one of Italy’s largest nature reserves – still packs as much of a punch as its famous neighbour. This is true and authentic Southern Italy, with a glorious coastline boasting a dramatic beauty of rocky ridges set between small, picturesque inlets and richly scented pinewoods standing sentinel to wide sandy beaches whilst crystal-blue waters lap at pristine shores. Scenic ridges and panoramic headlands dotted with watchtowers are blessed with far reaching vistas – even as far as Sicily on clear days.

What our travellers say

An excellent holiday in a less visited part of Italy. The area is hilly and the walks excellent. Because they are not too long there is plenty of time to cope with hills at your own speed. We took this holiday in Spring and appreciated the sunny mild weather and abundant wild flowers.

John Edwards

We were so impressed with the organization of our holiday. The first time we used Headwater it took us a few days to believe that our luggage would be at our hotel when we arrived. No doubts this year. The staff at all the hotels was helpful and friendly. The walking was great, though hilly – we should have looked at the itinerary more carefully before we left?! We loved it. Already thinking about where to go next year. Thank you.

Carol Newton

Organisation, locations and accommodation was excellent. Parts of the walk were harder than described, notes were not very good , app was excellent

Julie Nankivell

The team were great from the start, very helpful and prompt to respond to my queries/requests.

Mrs Murray Gray

Very good holiday information and a superb navigation app that was generally very accurate (as was the printed copy). Due to cancellation of original flight by BA phone calls (on a Sunday) to Headwater resolved the small onward train issues we had. Hotels provided were highly suitable and ongoing transport of cases worked well.

A Valued Customer

When something didn’t quite work, we had the ability to contact someone to fix it and then we got a nice bottle of Prosecco as an apology
Overall, the standard of accommodation was good and all of the moving parts worked (apart from one – as mentioned)

Mrs Aldrich

Try well organised and enjoyable holiday with a good standard of accommodation – same as our previous experiences with this company.

Dr Jamieson

The walks were a good mix of coast and inland, the hotels were in the main pretty good, all the transfers worked well and the app made everything very straightforward

A Valued Customer

Good organisation, great app.

Ms Veness

Beautiful part of Italy in Spring.
